Today, Cadillac enters France with its all-electric portfolio starting with the Cadillac LYRIQ. Cadillac is defined by design and technology – we are putting 120 years of craftsmanship and experience in building cars that will define the category in this generation. And the all-electric Cadillac LYRIQ, comes with all the technology and craftmanship that Cadillac is known for. Through its design, its advanced on-board technologies, its range and its dimensions, the LYRIQ stands out from the crowd and resolutely appeals to French people in search of a new driving experience, both bold and premium.

Designed by our French talent Magalie Debellis, the LYRIQ can be ordered directly from cadillaceurope.com, a premium and streamlined online shopping experience that we believe befits the LYRIQ. In addition, to being able to purchase their LYRIQ via the website, customers can schedule test drives and customise their vehicle to their specifications. Read more about the LYRIQ here

France with its focus on electrification is a very important market in Europe for us. It registered the highest increase in battery electric vehicle sales, positioning it as the third important market in continental Europe from total EV sales perspective, after UK and Germany, and showcasing the strength of the EV market in the region. The luxury segments in France are gearing towards EVs at a much faster pace than the mainstream segments.1

In France, the starting price for the LYRIQ Luxury and Sport models is 81,200 Euros which includes a standard Nappa leather package, advanced driver assistance systems, a panoramic glass roof with power shade, 21-inch alloy wheels as well as heated and ventilated front seats with massage feature.

A new driving experience

Built on General Motors' battery platform, the LYRIQ offers a thrilling driving experience, with smooth, almost instant torque. This technology contributes to exceptional acceleration when starting off and overtaking, as well as a ride and handling that are both dynamic and comfortable. Its impressive, estimated range of 530 km on a full charge corresponds to a trip from Paris to Lyon.2

The exterior of the LYRIQ features a bold aesthetic with sculptural, flowing surfaces, a distinctive crystalline black grille, vertical lights and a panoramic glass roof that enhances not only its aerodynamics, but also its visual appeal.

The interior features a sleek, organic design, with a large, seamless 33-inch diagonal curved advanced LED screen at its center. It consists of 3 distinct parts: driving controls within easy reach, a dashboard that helps keep your eyes on the road, and infotainment functions that can be shared with the passenger next to you. With the Cadillac LYRIQ, you have the choice of accessing the driving controls, whether at the touch of a button, or via traditional controls.

True to its name and the Cadillac brand's association with music, sound plays a key role in the LYRIQ. The 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system, including in the headrest, is a Cadillac exclusive that incorporates adaptive volume and surround technology to create an immersive listening experience. The next-generation Active Noise Cancellation system eliminates unwanted sounds from the road. When combined with LYRIQ electric vehicle sound enhancement, which balances and blends the sounds of the propulsion system, this technology creates a luxurious, quiet cabin.

The all-electric Cadillac LYRIQ is equipped with a range of features designed to enrich not only the driving experience, but also that of passengers. These include Super Cruise hands-free driving technology to reduce driver fatigue over long distances, which we aim to introduce in Europe as soon as we have the necessary approvals.

Mobile test drive locations culminating in the launch of Cadillac City

Starting this week, and up until April 19, customers will be able to test drive the Cadillac LYRIQ from Fauchon l’ Hôtel in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. After which the mobile test drive units will move to different locations across the country.

Later this year, we will be opening Cadillac City in the heart of Paris. This immersive experience center is designed to be the core of Cadillac's electric vision in the country and in Europe more generally.

When we announced Cadillac would be returning to Europe with an all-electric line-up, LYRIQ was always envisioned as a statement of intent. More than a vehicle launch, we think this is a bold new premium experience for customers in the region. We’re excited to launch in other markets this year, and we can’t wait to help bring GM’s promise of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion to Europe
